چکیده
The main task of orthoses in neurological diseases is stabilization, correction and improvement gait function. Orthoses actively support the work muscles by proper alignment individual body segments relation to each other facilitate performance planned During upright standing, orthosis keep upper ankle a fixed, intermediate position, usually at an angle 90°. This increases base provided feet flat on ground. Stabilization joints gives chance maintain correct length muscles, thus protects against contractures. Individual are used during standing improve function with dedicated footwear. brace widens contour foot, so footwear for wider than standard one, but it cannot be longer brace. One leading guidelines analysis children disorders criteria adopted Rancho Los Amigos Hospital. Despite complexity problems that patients report physiotherapist, simple strategy should when comes securing orthosis. role orthopedic equipment muscle failure obtaining stable stance phase.

متن کاملLanguage disorders in children with central nervous system injury.
Children with injury to the central nervous system (CNS) exhibit a variety of language disorders that have been described by members of different disciplines, in different journals, using different descriptors and taxonomies. This paper is an overview of language deficits in children with CNS injury, whether congenital or acquired after a period of normal development. It first reviews the princ...
متن کاملDesign of a 3D-printed, open-source wrist-driven orthosis for individuals with spinal cord injury
Assistive technology, such as wrist-driven orthoses (WDOs), can be used by individuals with spinal cord injury to improve hand function. A lack of innovation and challenges in obtaining WDOs have limited their use. These orthoses can be heavy and uncomfortable for users and also time-consuming for orthotists to fabricate. The goal of this research was to design a WDO with user (N = 3) and ortho...
متن کاملCustomized 3D printed ankle-foot orthosis with adaptable carbon fibre composite spring joint
Neuromuscular disorders and injuries such as cerebral palsy and stroke often result in foot-drop which can result in a person having great difficulty walking. Ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) or splints have been prescribed for many years now to limit the range of motion of the ankle, provide the patients with support and assist with rehabilitation. However the majority of AFOs require a long, labour...
